How I Manifested a Trip to Europe

In January of 2019, I wrote down my goals for the new year. One of the said goals was to “go on a trip with a brand.” As simple and as vague as that.

Journaling is a catalyst for manifestation. Our desires begin as intangible ideas until we write them down. Putting words on paper is the first step to giving your ideas a physical existence.

I made a vision board on a poster. I cut out clippings of airplanes, dream destinations, and brands I wished to work with. I hung my vision board to the right of my bed, in a perfect place for it to be the first thing I saw in the morning and last thing I saw at night.

Vision boards are an effective tool for manifesting. The act of visualization is a great way to speed up the process. The easier it is to see yourself doing something or somewhere, the faster you’ll literally see yourself in that situation.

Along with the physical vision board, I would make boards on Pinterest. Pinterest boards are fun because they’re quick to make, you can do it on your phone, and there are thousands of pictures to use. You can come back to your vision boards (on Pinterest) anywhere or anytime because it’s on your phone!

It is astonishing that the pictures I took in London and Paris are extremely similar to the pictures I pinned to my boards. This is the fun part about manifesting- seeing dreams unfold into reality.

A very important component of me manifesting a work trip to London and Paris was my detachment from the desire. Aside from the inspired action of journaling that desire and making vision boards, I didn’t fixate on the idea.

Instead, I focused on school and work during the semester. Detaching from the desire allows for the universe to make a way for me to attain this dream.

When you tell the universe what you want, the universe figures out how to get it to you.

So, my spring semester at UT ended and my best friend Jewels told me she was going to Europe for work. I made the joke of telling her to hire me to handle the media coverage for her client. A week later the company, Tech Wildcatters, bought my plane ticket and hired me to get content for their trip abroad.

I am a 21 year old, freelance creator, going to London and Paris for work, with my best friend. Pinch me.

What This Trip Taught Me

  • What’s meant for you will always be yours

  • Traveling is exhausting

  • Jet lag is real

  • Pretty much everyone rides the train

  • London and Paris were very eco-friendly

  • America is behind on sustainability… we knew this

  • Abundance surrounds me

How it affects my life today

Traveling across the world changed my life. Going on a work trip as a freelancer made me crack down on my organization. I’m usually a “cluttered desktop” type of girl. However, knowing I was about to have a lot more content from the trip, I organized all my files and moved old ones to my hard drive. This is a habit I’m trying to keep.

In London, we had to ride the trains everywhere. London has low emission zones therefore you have to ride into the city unless you want to pay high fees. This inspired me to see how the population collectively used public transportation to help reduce emissions. Since getting back to Dallas, I’ve used the trains as often as I can! I’m very proud of this change in my routine.

Processing the fact that I got to travel to these two places as a 21 year old entrepreneur also helped me realize that everything I need is within me. When I start being hard on myself, I can check myself quickly with a subtle reminder of this trip. Success is a mindset.

Being in Paris made me realize how small this world is. As I was walking around the Eiffel Tower, it was crazy to think this was the Paris everyone talks about. Does that make sense? I don’t know but it made everything in life seem so accessible.

Overall this trip sparked a motivation in me to start focusing on building my brand. When I got back to the states, I edited the content from the trip and I built my website. I have avoided building this website for so long. But, here we are. And now you’re even reading this on my BLOG. I can’t believe I can even say this.

Lastly, I acknowledged and experienced that abundance surrounds me. It is only up from here.

Thank you for getting to the end of my first blog post! If you want a more inside look on my trip make sure to watch the vlogs linked below!

Remember, if I can do this, you can too.
