Back To School Must Haves

It is back to school season and I am heading back to college. This led me to think about all of the things I already have that are my Back To School Must Haves.

I will break down my must haves by categories:

  • Electronics

  • Supplies

  • Lifestyle

  • Wellness

  • Fashion

  • Make-up

  • Skincare

I have linked as much as I was able to find!

Electronics

  • Laptop: I personally could not live without my MacBook. I use it to take notes, turn in class work, email correspondence, editing videos, writing blog posts, etc.

  • Airpods make listening to podcasts, talking on the phone, and listening to music a hands free and wire free experience. All of which makes things a lot easier on my walk to campus.

Supplies

  • A five subject notebook is a staple every semester. I’m able to have my notes for each class all in one notebook. 10/10 recommend.

  • A gooood pen. I love myself a good pen. The type of pen that makes writing fun to do. My fave pen right now is the muji.

  • A planner that helps me track my goals. I love when planners have motivational quotes each week, like the Livvit planner. Right now I am using the Passion Planner. I love this planner because it has a monthly reflection, and goal tracker.

Lifestyle

  • Metal straws are good for the environment, and come in handy in college. I drink plenty of iced coffee during the school year, so I carry around metal straws in my purse & car.

  • Reusable coffee cup gets you a discount at Starbucks and is an eco-friendly way to sustain your caffeine dependency.

  • Water bottle: I walked to class from my apratment, and manage to walk clear across campus this semester. Carrying around a reusable water bottle is a MUST for me in this Texas heat.

Wellness

  • Journal: A great way to take care of your mental health is to journal. If you would like to learn more about journaling and How To Journal, you can click here to watch my YouTube video on the topic.

  • Oil Diffuser: Self-care during the school year is a huge priority to me. My oil diffuser calms me and cleanses my environment with aroma therapy.

  • Soy-wick Candles are nontoxic candles! I love to have one burning at night while I am journaling, doing homework, or writing a blog post.

Fashion

  • Biker shorts are not only trendy right now, but they’re my most comfortable pair of bottoms I own. 10/10 recommend for students who walk to class, workout after school, or just want to be comfy in style.

  • Walking shoes are SO important. I am constantly on my feet at school and at work so having a solid pair of tennis shoes that support my feet is a must.

Make-up

  • Glossier skin tint is my favorite “foundation” during the hot months. It is a really light formula that evens out my skin tone. It is not a full coverage foundation by any means, but it gives you a glowy look!

  • Under-eye concealer because I don’t always get the best sleep with stress from school. A little concealer can go a long way, ladies.

  • Glossier boy brow is my holy grail eyebrow product. It make my eyebrows darker and let’s me style them. Not to mention, it is in an aesthetic and simplistic packaging.

  • Mascara looks like you put in more effort, even if it’s all you put on!

  • Bronzer helps a pale girl like me look like she has just a little more color while also defining my features.

  • Highlighter is a must have for me. I am obsessed with looking glowy and the brightening effect of highlighter. I can use it on my cheekbones and on my eyelids.

Skin care

  • Moisturizer with SPF is my ride or die. I moisturize every day and I put on SPF every day. I recommend EVERYONE do this no matter what you’re doing today. The sun’s rays are extremely harsh and can damage the skin in minutes.

  • Under eye cream for the same reason as I need concealer! Aging starts in college, no cap. Under eye cream also helps reduce dark circles from lack of sleep + stress. Bless up.

  • Mario Badescu Toner is so hydrating. The aroma of the spray is also so calming. I spray my face in the morning, during the day, or at night. Any time is a good time for this spray.

  • Vitamin C Serum has become a staple in my skincare routine. I have heard a bunch of benefits of using vitamin c serum. Here is an article about it.

  • Jade-roller is another tool I have loved having. It helps me relax and release facial tension at the end of a long day.

  • Face masks are my #1 must have for self-care routines. They make me feel like I have my life together. I love face masks.
