To RBA Digital Media Team,

My name is Amanda Saunders, I am a senior at The University of Texas at Austin majoring in Advertising in the Texas Media & Analytics program. Due to online courses, I am based in Dallas for the Spring semester. I found the job listing for the Digital Media Intern at RBA and fell in love with the job description. This internship opportunity aligns perfectly with my dream internship role given my passion for digital media and my get-shit-done mentality.

I am a multi-hyphenate content creator who makes YouTube videos, monthly Blog posts, and Podcasts for my brand Amanda Jewell. I have used my education in advertising to give me an advantage in understanding influencer marketing. This year I even published an eBook “Becoming an Influencer” that dives into what the industry is and how others can make money from their online influence. This past May, I launched my podcast “Becoming an Influencer” where I sit down with thought leaders and CEOs to talk about their journey to success. I grew these endeavors by analyzing my analytics per platform and running paid social ads. I saw that photography skills are also a plus for qualifications, and I am also a freelance photographer and my work has been published in publications like KVUE and The Daily Texan.

In February of this year, I founded the social media team for Texas Media & Analytics. Our program has existed for 20+ years without any online presence. My professor Lisa Dobias trusted me with creating and running our Instagram, LinkedIn, and FaceBook for our program. I have grown our following to 1,000 across the platforms.

In addition to these experiences, last semester I worked on a group campaign project for YETI through Accenture in Texas Media. We were given a $20 million budget to create an omni-channel campaign. Our team used data driven strategy and researched industry trends to guide our entire project and our team actually won the project as selected by people of Accenture and YETI.

In my digital metrics class this semester, I learned how to analyze data sets within programs like tableau. I can create data visualizations in order to better tell the story of how campaigns are performing, how social channels are growing, or trends going on within the digital space!

There’s a reason RBA was one of Ad Age’s Top 25 Best Places To Work and I would love to use my current knowledge and passion as the Digital Media Intern this Spring 2021. I am eager to learn more from the professionals here in your company and aspire to surround myself with like-minded fast-paced people.  I look forward to collaborating soon!

Best,

Amanda Saunders
